The Crushing Dance

Randy looked on as Joe and Violet swirled around the dance floor at a hectic pace. A sugarpush followed by an underarm turn, a kick ball change and a Lindy whip lift and then . . . a throwout and Violet flew through the air . . . and before Randy knew it he could feel Violet's muscular thighs crushing his windpipe . . .
Randy grappled with Violet, aroused and choking at the same time, he somehow managed to loosen her grip. Violet fell backwards onto the floor. Randy struggled for his gun and had Joe in his sights. But Vi, as ever, was too quick for Randy and with a simple star jump that she'd learnt at aerobics, she jumped and kicked Randy hard on the side of the head.

"Of course what happened after was all a bit of a blur . . . but the gun landed at Bill's feet . . . " Said Kitten to Swotsy sometime later.

"I know what happened." Said Daisy confidently.

"Come on then, from where Bill picked up the gun."

Daisy looked at Swotsy, happy to be of service to her idol,

"Well it was like this . . .

Look at us both beavering around on Boxing Day! I'll tweak mine too ...

Criminy.

Please don't let "sorting this out" involve deletion of the details: sugarpush! underarm turn! kick ball change! Lindy whip lift! throwout!

Did you make those up?!?

Mmm - sounds like Scarlet and I may have been to a few dance lessons in our time ...! x

Wonderful. A shift of perspective, that's all.

Oh, JES, can we have that last episode back? Can't we keep that as his life flashing before his eyes, right before he is extinguished by Violet's thighs.... the exact place he wanted to be?

I read it on my google reader, and I think it still fits.

I'm back, just had to have a fix of Corrie! And now I spy Johnny Depp!
I really liked the surreal quality that was going on with all the different posts happening at the same time as Rowena says it was a great shift of perspective.
I went to a dance site to get the names of the moves...! I knew they'd have great sounding names!

Yes Jes bring your bit back as well!

I hope this helps, I've tried to leave it in the same place as Kate.

Where's Johnny Depp? Did we turn someone into Johnny Depp?

I like the changes scarlet. The little dwarf stripper twins, filling their idol, Swotsy, in on the doings.

Something we'd all like to hear.

Oh, I have to go do something festive now.

Johnny? Where's Johnny ... (now it's all going Jack Nicholson). I don't do 'readers' so have missed out on this ... JES? Are you there??

Ms Scarlet said...

Sorry! Johnny Depp was on TV... he was distracting me, Dead Man's Chest was on BBC1 last night!

This is Jes's missing post with some relevant background info about Randy...

flopped back on the sand and watched them through half-lidded eyes.

They still had the routine down, he could see, muscle memory firing on all cylinders. And they were both especially fit, still, all these years later -- the light and water glinting on their arms and legs, highlighting their musculature...

He closed his eyes for a moment, and gulped. Which of them had he really been in love with, he wondered still? Vi, Joe, both, neither -- Swotsy, perhaps, or even Sister Margaret? The images in his head crashed rhythmically together, in sync with the pounding of the surf, over, and over, and over. His given name of course was Andrew -- Andy -- but when they'd all reached puberty and seen how aroused he got whenever in any of their presences, it was natural and oh so funny, wasn't it, that they should have prefixed it with the "R"... Glorious days, glorious hours and seconds, watching them when they didn't even know they were being watched---

He opened his eyes, horrified. Just like in all those bygone days, his left hand was inside the front of his trousers and his excitement fully (as it were) on display. On display, this time, for the leering countenances of Joe and Vi.

And O, My, God, was that a wimple coming up over the dune...?

What a riot. I didn't want to get into the situation we'd been in before -- where someone didn't want to post something because they'd seen a draft in the pipeline -- so I moved it offline. I still have it, but I see Scarlet has already posted it as a comment.

I'm not sure how my scene ended up on the beach instead of in the bar (or wherever this dance floor exists). Think it was a comment Kate made about the two of them performing a routine in the surf, something like that.

Was delighted that Kate picked up on the "randy" bit, too.

Sister Mags probably doesn't wear a wimple but I do love that word.

Thanks Scarlet! I think it's great JES to see Randy's POV just before Vi kicks the living daylights out of him (and the bar full of vampires get to work ...) what a way to go. Could be reworked - glimmering light of a mirror ball, crashing rhythm of the music instead of surf? I think it gives insight to R(Andy)'s simple, animalistic motivation ...
